The pearls are beautiful, valuable, and people are willing to purchase and wear them. The ideal pearl is perfectly round, smooth and shiny. The quality of pearls is judge by its orient. Fine pearls don’t have any spots or flaws in the nacre. The finest quality pearls are highly valued gemstones. The fake pearls are easily distinguished from the real pearls.

There are many kinds of pearls, Akoya pearls are the most popular pearl because it is a high quality pearl. Akoya pearls are very clean and generally free of heavy blemishes. Akoya harvests produce a reliable quantity of round and near-round pearls.
Akoya cultured pearls come in many colors from silvery/white to gold and even blue/grey. Akoya pearls size range is from 1mm to 10mm more commonly 5mm to 8mm.

There is another kind of a pearl called freshwater pearl. Freshwater pearls are those pearl that come from freshwater mussels. This is the most common type of pearl and is as good as or better than any other pearl. They are produce in Japan and United States to a limited scale. They are the only pearl which cover a wide range of color and shape. It is very difficult to find a very round and very loustrous freshwater pearl. Freashwater pearl can be found in white, silvery white, pink, salmon, red, copper, bronze, brown, lavender, purple, green, blue, cream, and yellow.

Akoya pearls which comes in white, pink and yellow color has the miraculous shinning surface which when added to a ring takes out its real beauty. Nice collection.
