Gucci To Launch Men’s Fragrance By Gucci Pour Homme On June 23

Gucci will launch its new men’s fragrance Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme on June 23 with one of the biggest bashes during Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week. The Florentine fashion house has bumped up its runway showtime from its usual evening slot to midday in order to get its Piazza Oberdan show space and neighboring gardens ready for the event. The evening will kick off with dinner for 100 guests. Afterward the doors will be rolled open to another several hundred invitees, to be entertained with a concert by Irish chanteuse Roisin Murphy — who covered Bryan Ferry’s song “Slave to Love” for the fragrance’s television ad — and later a set by French DJ Michelle Gaubert. The party’s guest list includes actor James Franco, the face of Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme’s ad campaign. Frida Giannini, creative director of Gucci, will host the event together with licensee partner Procter & Gamble Prestige Products.
