British supermodel Naomi Campbell refuses to retire after more than two decades on the world’s catwalks because there are still too few black beauties in the fashion industry.
While many of her colleagues of the late 1980s — like Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington — have moved on from the runways, the 38-year-old icon continues to turn heads at the world’s top fashion shows.

“I’m very grateful for my career, but I worry for the girls after me for the opportunities they get — the way they get treated. And this is one of the reasons I still do what I do,” she told Reuters in a weekend interview in Nigeria.

Campbell, who as a teenager was the first black model to grace the covers of the French and British editions of Vogue magazine, said many fashion designers still favored fair-skinned models over their dark-skinned counterparts.

“I don’t do so many shows anymore, but I do count how many girls of color they use in the shows. It happens to be last year New York was the worst,” the British bombshell said, wearing a simple white short-sleeved top and blue jeans.

The British supermodel was a special guest at the Abuja Central Park and Botanic Garden. The Abuja Green Society’s green initiative aimed to plant a tree for every new baby born in the region’s hospital’s in a bid to give them a better future.

Super Model Kate Moss, shed the hairpiece while trying to duck paparazzi as she returned to the plush Hotel Adlon after a night out in the German capital last month. The photographer who then posted it on eBay plans to donate the proceeds to a German anti-drugs charity. It is no stranger as Kate often uses the hair extension to make her blond hair look more voluminous.

The embarrassing incident happened while Kate was leaving the afterparty for her new fragrance ‘Velvet Hour’ in Berlin nightspot Club Watergate. An eagle-eyed German snapper picked up the hairpiece and claimed it for his own. a piece of her hair behind on the red carpet.

The extension is now being sold on eBay to raise money for an anti-drug charity.

A court has heard that supermodel Naomi Campbell called a British Airways pilot “a racist” before assaulting police in a bust-up at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Five. The supermodel appeared in court this morning and admitted to charges relating to a row over a lost bag that saw her thrown off an LA-bound flight in April. The court heard that Campbell swore at Captain Miles Sutherland during the incident, saying: “I can’t believe you have lost my…bag. Bring me my…bags now.”Following her outburst to cabin crew, the supermodel attacked at least one police officer while she was being removed from the plane in handcuffs. The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to all four charges she faced at Uxbridge Magistrates Court. These included assaulting a police constable, one of using threatening, abusive or insulting words towards cabin crew, and a public order offence. Melanie Parrish, prosecuting, told the court that Campbell was a first class passenger on the BA flight on April 3 this year. The flare-up occurred when Capt Sutherland informed passengers that not all baggage could be loaded onto the plane. Miss Parrish said: “(Campbell) instructed him to personally get off the aircraft and get her bag and show it to her. “The magistrates were told that when Capt Sutherland tried to explain her options, Campbell snapped: “How dare you tell me what my options are? You are not leaving until you find my…bags.”
